Week of 3-14-16

The President’s Corner

March 14, 2016

We had a great club meeting last week Thursday during World Rotaract Week.  The current board & chairs presented their roles and duties to the club in preparation for nominations for the 2016-2017 Rotaract Year.  Nominations and elections will take place in April & May.  If you missed the meeting you can see the descriptions of the positions on our website or reach out to any board member.
To celebrate World Rotaract Week, we also wrote why we love Rotaract and shared it on social media.

At our meeting, we also inducted Katie Pollari. If you don’t know Katie, she has attended many meetings, service and social events, so you probably do know her & know she will make a great addition to our club!

Last week Tuesday, several members attended the South Jax Rotary’s lunch meeting.  I gave a update presentation of Rotaract that included some demographic information, our engagement & operations and the impact Rotaract has on it’s members and community.  Thank you to the club members that attended!

This week we have our service event.  We are volunteering at GastroFEST, a non-profit that fosters and preserves local cuisine.  We are volunteering on Saturday, March 19th from 1:30pm-5:00pm. If you have not signed up, today is the last day.  Please contact Krystal or jaxrotaract@gmail.com.

Have a great week!
