The President’s Corner 7.2.18

Hi everyone,

It is officially the start of the new Rotaract year and I am so happy to serve as your President for the year! I am very excited for everything we have coming up.

It was great to see you all at Blackfinn last Thursday instead of our usual membership meeting.  We loved seeing some new faces and can’t wait to continue to share our club with you!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Fourth of July!

Rotaract meets at Hightide Burrito the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. Mingling starts at 5:45 in the back room and the meeting starts at 6:30. Guests are always welcome at our meetings, service, and social events.

Our next meeting will be Thursday, July 12 at Hightide Burrito at 6:30pm.

Community Service:
July 7: Angels for Allison

This Saturday we will be painting angels for the local non-profit, Angels for Allison. The angels that are painted are then sold to benefit families who are suffering with the loss of a child. Come out and have fun painting these angels with First Coast Rotaract for such a great cause. Please RSVP here so we can having a headcount to give them!

August 18: Angelwood Gala
Hold this date on your calendars- we will be working with Angelwood at their gala. More information is on the way!

Club Social:
July 14-15: Hail and Farewell
Our annual Hail and Farewell will be next weekend in Jacksonville Beach. Hail and Farewell is where we start planning for our new year at our board meeting and the rest of the time is to celebrate the great year we’ve had and have fun as a group!

The new board will meet Saturday morning and then everyone is invited to join us from there. We will have a beach day, go to dinner and go out in Jax Beach. Please get with me (Jordan) if you plan on attending. Everyone is welcome at any point during the day/night.

Looking Ahead
