Hi everyone,

It’s a meeting week! This Thursday, we are excited to welcome Dr. Jeff Michelman as our guest speaker. Dr. Michelman is a fellow Rotarian and past Rotary liaison between University of North Florida’s Rotaract and Oceanside Rotary. We are looking forward to hearing him discuss the impact of Rotary and also his bike ride to end polio!

Rotaract meets at Hightide Burrito the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. Mingling starts at 5:30 in the back room and the meeting starts at 6:30. Guests are always welcome at our meetings, service, and social events. 

Our next meeting will be this Thursday, February 22 at Hightide Burrito at 6:30pm.

Recap: February 15: Rotary’s Oratory Competition
Last Thursday, a few members attended Rotary’s Oratory Competition. Thank you, Rotary Club of South Jacksonville, for inviting us and thank you, Ali Brin, Brett Bell, Jordan Hollis and Matt Hieronimus for attending.

Upcoming: February 24: Jacksonville Zoo
We are going for a walk on the wild side this weekend! Come hang out with us at the zoo on Saturday, February 24. If you have ever wanted to learn even more about the animals, we even have a zoologist on our leadership team who can provide you with animal trivia throughout the day.

March 10: Rotaract’s 50th Birthday Bash:
Come join us Saturday, March 10th, at Atlantic Beach Brewing Company from 7-10 pm to celebrate all of the amazing things that Rotaract has accomplished since it first started! All current members, past members, guests, and Rotarians are invited!
