The President’s Corner
May 23, 2016
This week at our membership meeting we will be hearing from the Stanton Riverbank Rowing organization (SRB Rowing), a local non-profit whose mission is to help children establish strong character, learn life skills and develop physically and emotionally through the sport of rowing.
At this meeting, Tony Brazell, the 2016-2017 incoming President, will announce the new board for 2016-2017. Voting closes today; if you have not voted do so ASAP! Also, we will be starting to plan for the 2017 Black Tie & Blue Jean gala. If you have a charity that you think we should support, please bring it forward.
Congratulations to our club! We were recognized with the Distinguished Presidential Citation and a Rotary Zone 24 Award. Congratulations to our members & board for continuing to have an excellent club!
Don’t forget to VOTE!

Fundraiser for Bottle School Project – June 16th
Beaches Rotaract is hosting a fundraiser with funds going to Hug It Forward & the Bottle School Project. We heard about this project back in March from the Daytona State Rotaract President. We donated to the project as a club, but this is another way we can also support this project. The event is on Thursday, June 16th from 5:30-7 at Table 1 in Ponte Vedra. It’s a wine tasting with small bites. It’s $25 with $20 of that twenty-five going towards the project. You can purchase tickets through eventbrite on their facebook event page.
