Greetings!
Many thanks to Mary Pat Corrigan for being our speaker at our last meeting. Also, thank you to River City Brewing Co for letting us kick off the new year at their venue for our new meeting location!
We have service event this Saturday, January 23rd volunteering with HabiJax. Bundle up! And we’ll see you on Saturday!
Please Save the Date for Thursday, February 18th – this is the date of the high school oratory contest put on by our sponsoring Rotary Club, the Rotary Club of South Jacksonville. It the finals of the contest and a scholarship(s) will be awarded to a local high school student(s). The event will be at UNF and more details are below will follow. Also, this is a non-Rotaract meeting Thursday.

Community Service
In January, we will volunteer with HabiJax.

We will meet by 7:45 for check-in and we start building at 8:00am!

They provide the tools needed and will teach you how to perform the tasks. Dress in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.

Oratory Contest
When: Thursday, February 18th 6pm-7pm Dinner, 7pm Contests begins
Where: UNF Adam W. Herbert University Center, 12000 Alumni Dr. Jacksonville, FL 32224
The event starts at 6pm with a buffet dinner. It is free to Rotaractors and their spouse or guest. We will need to give a head count to South Jax so we will to know your RSVP. They will also need a few volunteers for the check-in, greeting and way-finding for attendees if you would like to help out.
This is a great event and also a good opportunity to be with the Rotarians and Satellite Club.
