Week of 8/24/15

The President’s Corner

Thank to everyone that came out to our Meet & Greet last week.  It was a great opportunity to meet the members of First Coast Rotaract & mingle with the guests that attended.  We look forward to see you at our Membership Meeting this Thursday, August 27th at High Tide Burrito in San Marco.

Our speaker at our meeting will be Paul & Allison Frase of the Joshua Frase Foundation. Their foundation is an organization that is seeking to find a cure or treatment for myotubular myopathy & to support families whose lives are affected by congenital myopathies.

Click on their photos for their linkedin bios – it’s better than me paraphrasing.   You’re not going to want to miss this so I’ll see you on Thursday.

At the Rotary District Seminar two weekends ago, First Coast Rotaract was awarded a Presidential Citation.  Congratulations to all of our members that have made our club a success!

Don’t forget to like our facebook page so keep up with what’s going on with our club!  Also, sign-up for Halloween Doors & More now – see the information below.  See you on Thursday!

Sara is a long-time member of First Coast Rotaract having served as Sports Chair, Community Service Chair and currently as an At-Large.  Sara’s favorite memory in Rotaract was an unofficial Rotaract glamping trip to Tennessee that included white-water rafting.  We rented a huge cabin and every night was spent around the campfire playing guitar and making smores.

Sara is currently a Marketing Assistant with Far East Brokers.  She has a degree in communications with a focus on media production from Flagler College.  She spends her days doing research, development, & implementation of speaker programs, event planning & execution, database management and website maintenance.
If she wasn’t doing this for a living, she would be traveling the world or working with children. For fun she likes going to the beach, watching movies, trivia and game nights, reading, and exploring new places.  One of such places was ‘spring break’  which is also a nickname she was given while she interned at the Cannes Film Festival in France.

Who’s that Rotaractor…
in that swanky new Polo??

Our polos are in!  Please pay your $30 to Patrick and claim your polo from Jen.

Yours truly made an ordering error.  So if you would still like a polo I’m placing another order.  First Coast Rotaract's photo.
