The President’s Corner
This weekend several First Coast Rotaractors (along with a few not pictured above) attended Downtown Rotaract’s Summer Bash, a summer social where they collected backpacks for a local elementary school. Congrats to Downtown on a successful event!
We’ll see you at our next Rotaract Meeting on next week’s Thursday, August 13th where we’ll have Mary Jury, Director of Development for BASCA, Inc. rescheduled from earlier this summer.

First Coast Rotaract meets at Hightide Burrtito Co. the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. Join us for networking and socializing at 5:30pm, followed by our meeting at 6:15pm. Guests are welcome at our meetings, service, and social events.
To help keep up with all that is going on you can always check out our Calendar, follow us on Facebook, or look for our Meet Up events.
Community Service
Our next service event will be Saturday, August 29th & we will be assisting with a Special Olympics Bowling Tournament at the Jax Lanes Grove Park. Hopefully, you signed up for the event because the volunteer slots are now full. Here’s our facebook page with more info.
Social
Save the Date for Friday, August 14th for our next club social event. Love to sing? Afraid of what strangers will think? Good. Jacksonville has their very only private karaoke room bar so you can sing in front of all your new rotaractor friends. Song lists are updated every month. Cost is $5 per hour per person. We will sing our hearts out at Austin Karaoke. RSVP to the facebook event.
Save the Date for our September Social when we’ll go rock climbing!
