The President’s Corner

Have you ever wondered how the club makes decisions or how you can get more involved? Well this Thursday is a special meeting. The current board members will be presenting their positions in preparation for the upcoming board elections. You will be able to see the different positions and their responsibilities, and hopefully find a position that is attractive to you. This is an important meeting for members to attend as the success of the club depends on committed and active members.

This meeting is also the last one before our gala. We will use the remainder of the meeting to cover gala items and prepare for the upcoming event.

To help keep up with all that is going on you can always check out our calendar, follow us on Facebook, or look for our Meet Up events.

Black Tie and Blue Jeans Gala
LESS THAN TWO WEEKS AWAY!

First Coast Rotaract is pleased to announce the Cathedral Arts Project as the beneficiary of the 12th Biennial Black Tie & Blue Jeans Gala. The event is a charity fundraiser put on by First Coast Rotaract and sponsored by Black Knight Financial.

Cathedral Arts Project’s mission is to enrich the quality of life in Northeast Florida by unleashing the creative spirit of children in the local community. Rotaract’s goal is to supply over 200 of their visual arts students with art backpacks.

Over the past 12 years, the gala has raised more than $160,000 for various organizations, including Big Fun Box, JLG Brain Cancer Foundation, and the Ronald McDonald House.

Attendees sporting a mix of black tie and blue jeans attire will enjoy an open bar, hors d’oeuvres from local restaurants, live music, and raffle items. Tickets can be purchased in advance for only $50 per person and can be purchased either online or from any First Coast Rotaract member.

Community Service

Thanks to everyone who made it out to our gala craft night. We were able to get a jump start on table center pieces and plan out more of the event space.
If you have any questions about community service please contact Sara Brown.

Sports/Social/Service

Thank you to all the Rotaractors who got up super early to volunteer at the Katie Ride and helped make the event a success!
