The President’s Corner 2.5.18

Hi everyone!

Jordan Hollis, you’re President Elect, here to give you the latest!

As most of you know, our awesome President, Sara Corrigan, had to take her maternity leave a bit earlier than expected due to some minor complications. I will be filling in until she’s able to come back. Baby Patrick and Sara are fine, but they are just being closely monitored at the hospital through delivery to make sure it stays that way.

This week, Thursday, February 8th, we have our First General Meeting of February and Marie Perry will be our speaker. Marie works in Sales and Operations for Coca-Cola Refreshments. She looks forward to speaking with us about leadership in a corporate setting. Dinner will follow the meeting at Hightide.

Rotaract meets at Hightide Burrito the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. Mingling starts at 5:30 in the back room and the meeting starts at 6:30. Guests are always welcome at our meetings, service, and social events. 

Our next meeting will be February 8, 2018 at Hightide Burrito at 6:30pm.

Club Social

February 24: Jacksonville Zoo
We are going for a walk on the wild side! Come hang out with us at the zoo on Saturday, February 24. If you have ever wanted to learn even more about the animals, we even have a zoologist on our leadership team who can provide you with animal trivia throughout the day.

Community Service

February 10: JASMYN Grounds & Garden Work Day
The club will be coming together to help JASMYN on some of their grounds projects. Come ready to rake, weed, bag, plant, mulch, and make the outdoor public space shine. There is a Facebook event created with more information.
