Hello Rotaract and Friends! We had a great visit from Jim Lanahan, Past President of South Jax Rotary, Owner of Advanced Direct Marketing, and Colonel, USMCR Ret.

Though Mr. Lanahan has quite the impressive resume, he spoke to us about his time with Guardian ad Litem. If you don’t know, the Florida Guardian ad Litem Program is a powerful and effective voice advocating for the best interests of Florida’s abused, abandoned and neglected children. Based on the stories we heard last Thursday and the commitment from volunteers like Mr. Lanahan, the program will surely continue to do great things in our community.

Rotaract Flashback

Even though it is cold, I can see Spring around the corner. That means more time outside before the triple digit Florida Summer. Check out one of our common Rotaract events in the Spring: Field Day! In 2014, we met at Boone Park in Riverside.

Let’s be honest, no matter how cool you think you are, you aren’t “top of the pyramid, arms outstretched, challenge-winning, yelling for joy” cool….
