The President’s Corner
Happy Monday! We had a fun-filled Rotaract weekend. Our weekend began early on Thursday with out membership meeting. Many thanks to Mr. Tom Peterson, Chief of Staff and Senior Vice President of Sales Management Operations at Black Knight Financial Services, for being our guest speaker. He spoke to us about the advantages of having a mentor, tips for a good resume and interviews, and creating a multi-level goal plan for your career.
Also, at Tony mentioned during his introduction, Black Knight Financial Services, was also the Title Sponsor to our signature project our Black Tie & Blue Jean Gala. Many thanks to BKFS for their continued support. We held our last gala last May. On October 22nd, for our membership meeting, we will hold our meeting at Cathedral Arts Project, our chosen beneficiary to that gala. Their office is downtown at 207 N. Laura Street.
On Saturday, we participated in Purple Strides the 5K to support the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Thanks to everyone that came out & Andrew Smith for organizing the event. Also, we beat our fundraising goal!
On Sunday, we had our monthly service event. We assisted the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation with their event Tailgate: Kick-off for a Cure. It was a fun time of service and fellowship.
Have a great week!

His dream career would be one where he is still a graphic designer but one that would allow him to travel the world & meet new people. When Mario isn’t being gregarious he can be found drawing or playing video games. I’m sure you’ve already met Mario due to his friendly nature, but if you haven’t be sure to say hi!
Mario’s favorite Rotaract memory is his first Hail & Farewell in which the year has been withheld. He was new to the club and it was a great time getting to know and bond with so many people over the course of the day. Also, If you need a First Coast Rotaract more-recent history lesson, see Mario.
