Thanks to everyone who came and helped out with the setup for the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) dinner and after party at UNF last Saturday. We also would like to extend a thank you to RYLA for allowing us to attend the dinner.

On Saturday June 27th the Stanton College Prep Interact Club is putting on a blood drive. It will be from 2-5 PM at Regions Bank at the Town Center. We would like to get out as many Rotaractors, and their friends, as possible to help support their efforts. Look for more details and a sign up to come.

As we wrap up another Rotaract year, we take the time to celebrate our accomplishments as well as welcome in the new board and say good bye to members who are leaving the club. To do this we will be having our annual Hail and Farewell Celebration on the weekend of July 11th with a beach day and overnight stay in St. Simon’s island. This is one of two member only events. If you have not received the event invite, please send an email to let us know. We need to make room reservations, so please respond to the event invite ASAP. If you plan on going, please pay or make arrangements to by this Thursday’s meeting. 

On Tuesday June 30th the Jax Chamber is putting on their annual young professionals expo. This is a chance for people to meet and network with the many young professional organizations in Jacksonville. We will have a booth at the event that we need to staff. This will be a great opportunity for us to tell people about our club and see people from other similar organizations. Please check out the FB event for more details. 

Our friends with Downtown Rotaract  are celebrating summer while helping out a good cause. Save the date for August 1st and join them for a rooftop party. To attend the event please bring an unused school-age-appropriate backpack to donate. The backpacks collected will then be donated to John E Ford Elementary School.
