President’s Corner 1.29.18
This past week, we had to do some last minute changes in our guest speaker. We were fortunate enough to have Jennifer Mackinday from Wounded Warriors come visit our club. Jennifer is a Warriors Speak spokesperson and she shared her unique story about being a caregiver to her brother who had been injured in action.
Beaches Rotaract stopped by our meeting to inform us of their current fundraising event: La Esperanza Water Challenge. It is a really great cause and I hope you take the time to look into it.
Lastly, former member Joe Jones was selected as one of NAIFA- Greater Washington, DC’s four under 40. We are so proud of you, Joe!
Our next meeting will be February 8, 2018 at Hightide Burrito at 6:30pm.
Stay warm, Sara Corrigan
Rotaract meets at Hightide Burrito the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, mingling starting at 5:30 in the back room and meeting beginning at 6:30pm.. Guests are welcome at our meetings, service, and social events.
