2021 Black Tie and Blue Jeans 5k

COVID-19 made us get creative, so instead of our bi-annual gala First Coast Rotaract will held a Virtual 5k! All proceeds went to the Sulzbacher Center to help furnish rooms at the Sulzbacher Village. Every $1,500 raised furnishes one room!

Sulzbacher opened 25 years ago, opening it’s doors to the homeless in our Jacksonville community. The mission was to be more than a meal and place to sleep; Sulzbacher provides a continuum care approach which addresses all aspects of homelessness including housing, healthcare, and income. Since 1995, services have grown to include street outreach, primary healthy, behavioral health, dental care for all ages, permanent housing, job placement, and early learning.

Sulzbacher offers several options for people experiencing homelessness or people at-risk of becoming homeless to find permanent housing placement. Housing placements are offered at Sulzbacher Village, as well as several scattered-site locations throughout the city.

Every participant received a race bag and T-Shirt.

Prizes:

  • Top Team Fundraiser
  • Top Individual Fundraiser

  • Largest Rotary Club participation ***This was based on active team members, not how much was raised, but club engagement.
